About the Opportunity
The Integrated Product Support Engineering Manager is an experienced IPS practitioner responsible for establishing and governing IPS Engineering functions across strategic shipbuilding programs - specifically Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Support Equipment, and Maintenance Planning & Management. The role serves as principal adviser to the Strategic Shipbuilding IPS Manager on IPS Engineering matters, sets enterprise strategy and standards, and leads the IPS Engineering community of practice. Accountable for integrating IPS Engineering disciplines with other IPS Elements, the role drives adoption of proven maintenance and sustainment practices and ensures supportability-by-design for both Mission and Support Systems. The IPS Engineering Manager assures that design decisions driven by IPS Engineering are traceably linked to supportability outcomes and lifecycle sustainment objectives across programs, in accordance with IPS guidance and Australian defence acquisition practices. The role is enterprise-focused, program-supported by an IPS Engineering Lead and team within each shipbuilding program, and reports to the Strategic Shipbuilding IPS Manager.
